Ala Chocolat was founded in 2015 by Andre and Sabrina, Venezuelans. A store specializing in microbatch chocolates in Paris, it is one of the few Bean to Bar chocolate makers in France. Chef Chocolatier Andre's carefully selected beans are bought directly from small Latin American cocoa producers and co-operatives to make chocolate.

Originally from Caracas, Venezuela, Andre has been a culinary enthusiast since he was a child and began his career at a five-star hotel. I fell in love with the variety of cacao varieties and decided to become a chocolatier. Returning to Venezuela in 2008, the goal is to learn about cocoa and bean-to-bar, to have a taste of different varieties, chocolates made from them and a chocolate tree that tells the story behind them. After gaining experience at chocolate factories in Venezuela and France, he opened his long-cherished shop in Montmartre, Paris in 2015.

The attached atelier is decorated with pictures of Caribbean beaches, reminiscent of where the love for cacao began.
